Protect your investment and extend the life of your MMHC Classic Clip-Ins with these simple care tips:
Always gently detangle before and after wear. Use The Detangler starting from the ends and working upward. Be especially gentle near the lace to protect the delicate closure area.
Cleanse your wig every 2–3 weeks, or as needed depending on product buildup. Always use sulfate-free, moisturizing shampoos and conditioners. Lather gently, avoiding vigorous scrubbing of the lace area.
Pat the wig dry with a towel — never wring or rub. Allow the unit to air dry fully on a wig stand to preserve the cap shape and lace structure. Avoid high heat or blow-drying directly onto the lace.
When using hot tools, always apply a heat protectant first. Keep styling temperatures under 400°F to maintain hair integrity. Limit daily heat styling to extend the lifespan of your unit.
Store your CoverMii Wig on a wig stand or mannequin head when not in use to maintain its shape. Keep it in THE MMHC satiN-lined dust bag for travel or longer storage.
- Avoid applying heavy oils or thick products directly to the lace to preserve transparency.
- For glueless wearers: Clean the inside of the lace gently every few wears to maintain a fresh, secure fit.
- When removing adhesive (if used), always use a proper lace adhesive remover to prevent damage.
- Avoid coloring, lightening, or chemically altering Signature Shades extensions — they are pre-colored for your convenience.
- Avoid purple or toning shampoos unless specifically recommended, as they may alter the custom tone.
- Use moisturizing deep conditioners weekly to maintain softness and manageability.
- Light, leave-in serums or oils are fine — but avoid heavy products that can weigh down or fade the color.
